Materials: Canvas, Acrylic Paint, House Paint, Ink
Timeline: One piece a week for 3 weeks.
Project Proposal 6
1-28-11
Description: I want to continue with my theme of fruits and vegetables. I have already done plenty of the drawing progression, so I am almost revisiting what I started in the beginning of the year. I am making observational paintings of foods on a large abstract canvas, rather than small.
Objective: To practice observational art.
Materials: Cardboard, housepaint, acrylic paint, paint brushes, photos, fruit.
Timeline: 8 pieces in 2 weeks.
Project Proposal 5
1-4-10
Description: Progression of drawings on a long canvas. 4″ x 24″ (Particularly fruit and veggies)
Objective: I, and other people really liked the small pieces I made of fruit and drawing progression along a long piece of paper painted simple colors.
Materials: Ink, Paint, Canvas
Timeline: 8 in 2 weeks
Project Proposal 4
11-30-10
Description: Take photos and render them in photoshop to make them look like a silhouette. Then transfer them to be larger on a canvas.
Objective: I have had an interest in shadowbox puppetry, and this would be the first step to making art similar to that.
Materials: Photoshop, photos, paper, canvas, black paint
Timiline: two pieces in two weeks.
Project Proposal 3 1/2?
11/10/10
Description: Take examples from my sketch book and make them larger with the same types of materials and paints
Objective: To consistently work for a few weeks on this project without working on other things.
Materials: Hard board canvas, house paints, random found materials, crayons
Timeline: 8 pieces in two weeks.
Project Proposal #3
11-3-10
Description: I am continuing the abstract pieces, but rather than the last proposal I am making them at a much larger scale and working off of pieces in my sketch book.
Objective: I am very proud of my sketchbook pieces, so I am going to make pieces similar to it, but at a much larger scale.I am attempting this because it may be difficult to make them larger, because I tend to make pieces at a very small size.
Materials: Brown paper, House paint, acrylic paint, anything I can find.
Timeline: I plan to do this for about 4 weeks. Each piece takes about a day (2 period of portfolio class)
Project Proposal #2
10-4-10
Descrition: Since I finished my last project that included natural portraits I decided I like how the abstract backgrounds turned out. This next project I am simply going to do that but without the portraits on it. i am going to incorporate more mixed media and use different objects to add texture to it.
Objective: To make interesting abstractions with a wide array of texture in the pieces.
Materials: Paint, crayon, hot glue gun, anything I can find!!!
Timeline: I don’t have a set amount of pieces I want to make but I only plan to do this for 2-4 weeks and make two or three a day.
Project Proposal 1
Description: I am going to do several pieces of natural images on top of an abstract background using different things to paint on as a canvas.
Objective: To combine abstract pieces with realistic images along with it.
Materials: House paint, Different canvases, cloth, acrylic paint, and pencil
Timeline: It will take about a month to do this. I don’t have any specified number of pieces, but I hope to get a good amount of pieces done after 4 pieces.
