Artist Statement

Since a young age I have been in environment of art constantly. Art was always what I looked forward to do in whatever chance I got, in school, home, or wherever. Over the years, as any one else my idea of art has changed and molded to what it now is. When I first began exploring art, I always thought that the only good quality of art was literal art that was easy to comprehend.

I have been attending museums since I could remember. Although for much of the art I couldn’t appreciate it for what it was. Until recently I wasn’t able to enjoy certain aspects of abstract art, but as I began learning and appreciating it I also incorporated more abstract techniques within my own art.

My appreciation began in my young preschool setting when we were allowed to freely do art. This grew to me creating my first nude piece… when I was five. When I was given opportunities in my art education I never felt as if I wasn’t able to create or expand our own ideas for art. As time passed in art education we were could gain more freedom in our art. So with this I have now begun to create natural art. I enjoy taking political concepts and average encounters of and with people. Uses simple and natural colors, and I try to make it so my art doesn’t seem to follow an idea, but evolves into multiple ideas. Overtime my art has also shown progressions. How things change and how things are made are evident in my art, because I have also been interested in processes.
